Welcome Home Wreath

This is GORGEOUS!!!  I have made mine, but first check out this video!

And on New Year's Eve I made mine.  I know.... a sad sack staying home.  But I bet there are plenty of other crafters out there who do the same :) lol  Anyway, I am going to hang mine in my craft room. I may even make another.........

This is for January 2017 National Papercrafting month.  If you want to make this please contact me.  I will need to know before 20th January if you would like to attend a class on this OR your can purchase yourself here.

Pennant Frames

These pennant frames are a beautiful way to not only dress up your plain walls but also display pictures with more than just a plain frame. As Genna pointed out, the great thing about these frames is that they can be personalized to match the color of a room or the existing décor, and spotlighted alone or in a grouping.

As you saw in the video, you can use a variety of shapes from the Artbooking cartridge to embellish your frames, but the base pennant-shaped cutout is found on page 76 (Photo Mat 2), cut at 9 ½" Real Dial Size to fit the frame perfectly. Let’s take a closer look!

Sweet Girl

The paper comes from Ivy Lane which goes with a "Sweet Girl" look. Two different sentiments in differing colours from the same colourway ie Ivy Lane make this a harmonious look made easy with Artbooking.

Brrr

The great thing about the snowflake overlay on page 76 is that the negative space is lots of little snowflakes, all in various sizes. Or you can choose to cut out the individual snowflakes to get the exact size you need. I love how the artist has layered these two snowflakes to give it more dimension. And you can see how she used just a few drops of white re-inker to add some fun snow detail. The silver and pink sparkles throughout the frame really help tie those little elements all together.

My Girl

With a background wood grain from Timberline and the papers from Jubilee you have a more country look!  Add the flower and sentiment and this pennant becomes more feminine!

The border at the top of these pennants is the border on this artwork.  I love this border! Using the border on page 47 of the Artbooking cartridge, the artist first used just a plain border straight across the frame. For the top lace border, she used two border cutouts attached together and pleated with a bone folder to make it really stand out.  This can be copied in scrapbook work, cards and other paper craft.  So lovely!
